Folkestone Museum
Folkestone Museum takes visitors on a journey through the history of Folkestone, from its origins as a humble coastal community, through to its heyday as a fashionable seaside resort and beyond. The free museum provides a gateway to Folkestone’s fascinating heritage with interactive displays, workshops suitable for all ages and opportunities for people to become more involved with the presentation and preservation of the Town’s past.
Folkestone Museum also hosts a wide programme of events throughout the year. Situated in Folkestone Town Hall the Museum is open from 10.00am until 4.00pm, Tuesday to Saturday and last entry is at 3.30pm.
