Favourite place in the district competition 2025 – Terms and conditions
Promoter: The competition is being run by Folkestone & Hythe District Council, Civic Centre,
Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent. CT20 2QY.
Closing date: The closing date for all entries is 5pm on Sunday 19 December 2025 GMT.
How to enter: Entries should state your favourite place in the district and should be sent via email to communications@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk . Only one entry per person. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical issues.
Who can enter: Applicants must be over 18 years old. No purchase necessary.
Selection: The winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Notifying the winners: The winner will be notified via email by 31 December 2025.
Prize: Two Romney Rover tickets (worth around £39) for the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway which also includes free entry to the Model Railway exhibition at New Romney. Tickets will be eligible for any day in the 2026 season excluding bank holidays and Santa Specials. Please note there is no cash alternative. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition if circumstances arise outside its control.
Data Protection: Personal data will be processed in accordance with the promoter’s privacy policy, the Date Protection Act 2018, Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations and UK GDPR. Data will only be used for administering the competition.

Well, we’ve teamed up with them
to offer two FREE Romney Rover
tickets!
The Romney Rover ticket is a
hop-on hop-off all day ticket which
covers the whole line from Hythe
and Dungeness (and back!).
It also provides free access to the
Model Railway Exhibition at New
Romney.
Tickets will be eligible for any day
in the 2026 season excluding bank
holidays and Santa Specials.
