The wait is over – the exciting new multi-storey skate park is welcoming its first riders in Folkestone.

F51 is home to top-class facilities for skateboarding, BMXing, climbing, bouldering and boxing in a brand new building in the town’s Tontine Street.

Two suspended concrete bowls are a world first and there are three floors designed to attract all skating and riding abilities from beginners to Olympic champions.

There is 350 sq m of climbing surface with overhangs and a speed climbing wall and in addition a dedicated bouldering area.

Folkestone Amateur Boxing Club has a new home in a world class boxing gym in F51, and the club is hoping to widen access and membership.

F51 promises something for all abilities and there will be coaching, clubs, holiday camps and a range of creative workshops.

Funded by the Roger de Haan Charitable Trust, the facilities are being run by The Sports Trust.
